24 hours for the lord

Pope Francis has stated that he would like Friday March 4th through Saturday March 5th to be set aside as "24 hours for the lord".
During this period St Josephs will host 24 hours of the celebration of the sacrament of reconciliation.
We will provide Eucharistic Adoration throughout the night.
There will also be various opportunities for prayer and public devotion including mass, stations of the cross, rosary etc and a penitential liturgy.

Below is a schedule of events, please join us at any time:

Mothers Prayers

Mothers & grandmothers are invited to join a mothers’ prayer group here at St Joseph's every Thursday between 10:30am - 11:30am.

It's a beautiful time to spend in prayer where we bring our children before Christ and ask for their protection, we also pray for all children known to us who are in need of prayers.

We will meet in the church foyer. Look forward to seeing you.

Called and Gifted

You might have heard me talking briefly over the last few weeks about something called “Called and Gifted”. If not, you will hear more about it over the next few weeks!

Briefly, the Called and Gifted process aims to help us discover the charisms or ‘spiritual gifts’ which each of us have been given in baptism. These are different to (though they might complement) our natural or learnt gifts and talents. Charisms are given to us freely by the Holy Spirit specifically for the building up of the Kingdom of God, and so are to be used for the good of the world and for others and never for anything harmful. When we use our charisms we feel energized, we feel as if ‘we’ve found our place’ or that we ‘fit’. We are effective without undue struggle.
