Welcome to Our Parish

Here at St. Joseph’s we grow as “stewards” of God’s gifts to us, we try to recognize the many ways in which God has blessed us and to respond by giving thanks not only with our words but by the way we celebrate our faith and live our lives. This enables us to deepen our understanding of what the Gospel Message means in our lives today.

Fr Chris Whelan

Parish Priest

Welcome to our newly revamped parish website. We are always happy to welcome new people to this large vibrant Catholic community in Basingstoke so if you are able to visit us in person and perhaps join us for one of our Masses then please introduce yourself to me afterwards.

Secondary School

We are a forward looking, high performing, co-educational school of 850 pupils. We follow a rich curriculum which is both aspirational and inspirational. Students of all abilities are stretched, challenged and supported by our dedicated and highly talented teaching and support staff. We are proud of our students’ achievements and seek to send them out into the world as well-rounded, confident and ambitious young people, prepared to serve the common good.

Our commitment to excellence in the arts, sport and work within the community, both at home and abroad are outstanding. Our extended curriculum is deep and broad, enabling opportunities for all to njoy and succeed.

As Bishop Richard Challoner reminds us, we endeavour to do ‘ordinary things extraordinarily well.’

St. Annes

Catholic Primary School

St. Anne’s is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Catholic primary school that enjoys strong links with St Joseph’s Church and the wider Parish community.

At St Anne’s, we enjoy and excel in the presence of God. This means that we grow in love, joy and wisdom through the teachings of the Bible and the Catholic faith. It also means that give our time, talents and treasures to become caring and responsible individuals of the wider community.

We seek to create a happy, safe and caring learning environment where children can develop their full potential academically, socially and spiritually.
